Barclays is a British banking group with roots in London in 1690. Its UK personal bank offers current and savings accounts and cards through the UK Barclays site. This GoCardless (formerly Nordigen) connector is listed for Ireland and carries the BIC of Barclays Bank Ireland PLC, but connected accounts observed through this exact connector are GBP personal current, savings and card accounts, including UK sort-code accounts. They point to UK retail banking rather than proving access to Irish-booked accounts. It supplies balances and transactions for the observed accounts; Irish-account reach remains unverified. Barclays Bank Ireland serves private, corporate and institutional clients in Dublin, while UK business and corporate banking and the separately listed Barclays Personal connector have distinct entries; their coverage should not be assumed interchangeable.

A customer reported on October 19, 2026 that this Ireland-listed connector appeared simply as “Barclays”, with barclays.co.uk as its website, making it easy to confuse with UK Barclays Personal. Although this connector is listed for Ireland, it successfully returned this customer's UK Barclays current and savings accounts. It did not return their Barclaycard. Switching to UK Barclays Personal brought in all their accounts and the intended credit card successfully. If you manage your Barclaycard alongside your bank accounts in the Barclays app, UK Barclays Personal may be the appropriate route. Check that the card is offered for sharing before completing the connection. Check the connector's listed country as well as its name and website.
